Julie DeLong is a highly skilled accountant with 15 years of experience working with hundreds of businesses in all kinds of industries. She co-founded three companies in the accounting industry: Backyard Bookkeeper has provided bookkeeping services to companies nationwide since 2008, Backyard Payroll provides affordable payroll processing solutions to small businesses, and SPC Strategies is a consulting company that specializes in building and optimizing accounting departments. Julie has a BA in Economics from Brigham Young University.
Julie's specialty is deciphering the mechanics of how individual transactions move through a company's financial data and developing practical systems for monitoring and maintaining the data. Her accounting experience in a wide array of industries and using multiple software packages gives her unique insights which will help students understand practical bookkeeping as well as accounting theory.
